AAA Band
Aiken Area Akademie Band
Aiken Area Akademie Band
The AAA Band is open to 5th-12th-grade students who are homeschooled or attend schools that don’t have a band program. No previous experience is necessary. There are three band levels; beginner, intermediate and advanced. Group rehearsals are held once a week for an hour. Students attending group rehearsals are required to take a weekly private lesson. Instruments in the band include flute, oboe, bassoon, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, french horn, trombone, baritone, tuba, and percussion.
Rehearsals will be held on the campus of the University of South Carolina Aiken in Room 125 of the Etherredge Center on Monday afternoons and evenings. Lesson locations will be arranged by the private teacher and student on an individual basis.
The AAA Band will present multiple concerts throughout the year (view schedule here), and select students will have the opportunity to participate in District and All-State auditions, Da Capo Beginning Honor Band, and the Solo and Ensemble Festival.
